Cappuccino and Faster Browsers

Cappuccino is pretty cool as it allows for full applications build in the browser itself. I like it so much that I'm currently working on an application using it for a few things. The framework speaks to a larger issue that is of speed. As JavaScript VMs on browsers improve more and more the speed gain allows web frameworks like Cappuccino to thrive.

This new browser arms race is a good thing in that it will allow us to move to the next generation of the web. This next generation of apps will basically mitigate the differences between what is a web application and what is a native application. Further, we can be completely open since we can use the open web standards as opposed to using stuff like Flash.
