Dil Se

I watched Dil Se finally and I must say it was a pretty good movie.
Thought I did find many faults with it such as the infatuation that
Amar felt towards Meghna. However, it seems from reading elsewhere on
the internet that the relationship between Amar and Meghna is an
allegory to the relationship between India and Kashmir. India won't
give up such a beauty, but in not giving it up it is leading to its
destruction.

It is an allegory that makes sense because it's true. India won't give
up Kashmir and I personally believe that Kashmir should not be
controlled by either Pakistan or India, but should be a completely
free state! In denying the freedom of Kashmir we have destroyed its
beauty.

This is where I am at fault. As much as I'd like to be a one tracked
mind it is impossible, in this idea I can understand the Kashmiri
revolts against India. It is not so much India vs Pakistan that is at
play there as much as India vs Freedom.

Bruno

It was in my opinion not as funny as Borat, but was good. It was
interesting how Cohen was able to include anti-Semite jokes as a
juxtaposition with anal bleaching jokes. "I'm cleaning my Auschwitz!"
But the humor in Bruno though at times it got to the cultural overtones
of society most of the time just ended up seeming to be crude humor.
Though the part with Ron Paul was damn funny. So watch it cause it's by
Sacha Baron Cohen, but otherwise stick with Borat for the humor.
