I needed a simple web host without a lot of bells and whistles. Basically a place to host static pages generated through nanoc or some PHP scripts. I have a VPS with Linode but I am always tweaking things and the random other pages never seem to stay up. I essentially needed a host which I could use to host my parents store site. I needed to do this without constantly breaking it by playing with my VPS.So to make a long story short I am using NearlyFreeSpeech. They seem to be reasonable and are pretty cheap especially for the static pages where you just pay for storage and bandwidth. Since my parents site is likely not going to be heavily hit I think it is a fine place to leave it up.Leave a Comment
